FURTHER LIFE STORIES IN THE SUN
This is the Advanced Residential, building on the work of Life Stories In The Sun (or the combined weekends Appreciating Who I Am and Living Life To The Full).
It can be a unique and special experience to work within a small group for a period of several days. The pace is different from the weekend workshops, there’s more time to work in depth and reflect on new insights and understanding of ourselves and the issues we are dealing with.
There’s also time to work on your own, or in pairs, to integrate what transpires in the group sessions during the week. And of course we make sure there’s plenty of time to visit the area, swim in the river, and enjoy good food and just chill out!
We’ll also be introducing work on the integration of body-mind-spirit through yoga and some mindfulness exercises. Sarah is now a yoga teacher with a particular interest in how yoga and relaxation and breathing techniques can improve mental health. Yoga sessions will of course be optional!
On this Advanced Residential we want to make sure you have time to focus on your own particular areas of interest—this may be a personal creative project—which may involve writing (or music), family stories, current issues, or anything else that feels important.
Again – it’s not entirely a creative retreat, personal development workshop, or mind-body- spirit week, but something of all of these! Calming, restoring, enriching, energizing.
The all-in cost of the week (bed and all meals, plus the course fee, but excluding travel) will be £1,175. All rooms are single occupancy. Toulouse is the nearest airport. A transfer is available at a cost of £60 return per person.
La Roane is a tranquil haven set in spacious grounds with a swimming pool and its own woodland. The picturesque medieval town of St Antonin Noble Val is close by.
In 2019 we head to southwest France for the third year running for our Advanced Residential. We will have sole, fully-catered use of La Roane, the beautiful centre run by Nigel Shamash and his daughter Anna close to the spectacular Aveyron gorge.
